Faced with the rising use of flammable refrigerants, AIRAH has issued a draft Code of Practice for handling these gases, which will be proposed as an approved code of practice under section 274 of the Work Health and Safety Act.
The code provides information on managing the health and safety risks associated with the safe design, manufacture, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, decommission and disposal of refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment and systems that use a flammable refrigerant.
