Call for candidates for the Presidency and Governance of the IIR’s Careers in Refrigeration (CaRe) working group
The IIR’s CaRe (Careers in Refrigeration) working group is seeking a new President, Vice-Presidents and a Secretary to undertake activities until the next ICR2027 in South Korea.
At the 2015 ICR Congress, the IIR launched the CaRe (Career in Refrigeration) working group as well as a sub-working group dedicated to Women in Refrigeration. Since then, the CaRe group has organised and hosted numerous networking events for students and early career engineers and researchers at international conferences. The working group has published articles on minority groups in the refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump (RACHP) sector and carried out a worldwide survey on women in cooling.
At the last student and young researchers speed networking event at ICR2023 in Paris, several people were keen to support the current CaRe group activities. By applying to become the next president or vice-president of CaRe, you will have the opportunity to drive the working group forward and make a difference by inspiring more people to join the refrigeration industry and supporting young engineers and students in developing their careers.
If you are interested in such a position, you will find attached the introduction to the working group as well as the procedure and requirements for submitting an application. All applications should be sent to Ina Colombo (i.colombo@iifiir.org) at the IIR before 24 May 2024, 11:59 p.m. UTC+1 (Paris time).
Please do get involved and support this thriving and vibrant network, we look forward to your application!
