A 'Cool Offer' at the IIR. The IIR is offering free 12-month memberships to students.
The IIR is offering free 12-month memberships to students that are recommended by their professors who, themselves, are paying IIR members.
Benefits correspond to a Basic membership package and include:
- Downloads from the FRIDOC database
- Access to refrigeration sector news
- Unlimited access to the IIR Expertise Directory
- Unlimited access to the Laboratory Directory
- Customised e-alerts
- Full access to exclusive files (thematic collections and industry regulations)
- Subscription to the monthly IIR Newsletter and weekly newsflash
How does it work?
Anyone that is currently a student and has never been an IIR member can apply.
A professor, paying member of the IIR, can recommend one student per calendar year for a free 12-month membership.

What does the student need to do?
If the student does not have an IIR account, they should create one and provide the professor with the information indicated below.

What does the professor need to do?
If the professor is already a paying IIR member, they should send an email to the IIR to endorse the 'Cool Offer' application.
The email must include the following information:
Professor
- First and last name
- User ID
- Email address
Student
- First and last name
- User ID
- Email address
- Proof of student status
Your User ID can be found in your IIR account online.
Applications should be sent to membership@iifiir.org with the subject line “Free 12-month IIR membership”.
If your professor is not a paying IIR member, they should visit the membership page “Join the IIR” on the website.
Once they have become a member you will be to take advantage of this great offer!
