Member news: a training center for commercial refrigeration promoted by Carrier

Carrier is participating in the creation of a regional training centre for transcritical CO2 supermarkets in Kenya.

The first training centre in East Africa for transcritical CO2 supermarkets will be established in Kenya at the initiative of Carrier Commercial Refrigeration and GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) as part of the Green Cooling Initiative (GCI). 

 

The training will take place in Kenya, Germany and online. The centre will serve as a hub for innovation, education and industry advancement in cold chain solutions. A signing ceremony took place during the Global Cold Chain Symposium on October 21 in Nairobi.
