The effect of modified atmosphere packaging on quality parameters of cherries.

Résumé

Four different varieties of cherries were examined over a two-year period; different packaging films, active and passive packaging under both case and pouch conditions were investigated. Moisture, pH, total acidity, total sugar, texture, brix, total weight loss, colour, microbiological analysis and sensory analysis were all examined. As a result, it was observed that modified atmosphere packaging extended the storage life of cherries.
