Résumé

Significant costs and energy savings are possible when climate control equipment anticipates weather forecast and electricity tariffs. This conclude Wageningen UR, Tolsma Techniek, Priva and Weathernews in The Netherlands from a joint research project. In field experiments the control technology developed succeeded in saving energy and improving climate control in potato and onion stores. Tolsma techniek will introduce the technology in potato and onion storage. Wageningen UR will support other parties interested in developing new applications within the field of refrigeration and climate control.
