Résumé

This trilingual yearbook, prepared by the Statistics and Information Service, Fisheries and Aquaculture Department of the FAO on the basis of information available as of 31 December 2009, contains all the most updated data and global statistics on: capture production, aquaculture production, commodities and food balance sheets. The booklet includes general notes, concepts and classifications, and a pull-out map of FAO major fishing areas. This edition also presents a brief overview of major trends and issues relating to the individual statistical sets, accompanied by a summary table and graphs. The CD-ROM contains all the information and statistical tables. It consists of the complete yearbook package for each of the categories (capture production, aquaculture production and commodities).
