Résumé

This trilingual yearbook, prepared by the Statistics and Information Service, Fisheries and Aquaculture Department of the FAO, is a compilation of data on the basis of information available as of 31 December 2011. It includes relevant summary tables, a pull-out map of FAO major fishing areas, general notes, concepts and classifications for global statistics on capture and aquaculture production, commodities, and fishery fleet. This issue also includes statistics on apparent fish consumption derived from FAO food balance sheets and notes on the major trends and issues relating to the individual statistical sets.
The CD-ROM contains all the information and statistical tables. It consists of the complete yearbook package with the most updated global statistics for each of the categories, all the key information and the latest statistical tables for each of the categories (capture production and fleet, aquaculture production and commodities).
