The article reports on research conducted in the USA on: Gala apples, fresh-cut produce, high-oxygen modified-atmosphere packaging, safe and fresh-like juices, pasteurized orange juice, films (including a natural anti-microbial compound), citrus juice quality, relationships between temperature and oxygen and orange juice quality, development of plastic containers, dry-aging of beef, moisture-barrier characteristics of packaging materials, ultrapasteurized milk and anti-microbial food packaging systems.
