Type of article: Article
Summary
The software analysis is based on ISO 7730 and Fanger. The algorithm was created from a knowledge-based platform. It evaluates thermal comfort in terms of the predicted mean vote (PMV) and the predicted percentage of dissatisfaction (PPD) for the expert users. These indices are calculated from quantitative inputs of the six governing parameters, namely: metabolic rate, clothing resistance, air velocity, air temperature, mean radiant temperature and relative humidity.
