Summary

THE ECONOMIC INSULATION THICKNESS HAS BEEN DETERMINED FOR THE IN SITU APPLICATION OF AN INSULANT FOR UNDERGROUND DUCTS AND PIPELINES. THE HEAT LOSSES AND INVESTMENT RETURNS WERE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION. THE OPTIMAL INSULATION THICKNESS WAS CALCULATED FOR TWO PARAMETERS: REGULATIONS REGARDING AMORTIZATION AND CURRENT ENERGY COSTS, AND THE CORRELATION OF THESE TWO FACTORS WITH THE ECONOMICS OF OTHER NATIONS.
