Summary

THIS THERMOCOUPLE IS BASED ON THE COMPENSATING BRIDGE METHOD IN WHICH A THERMISTOR IS USED. OVER AN AMBIENT OF 273 TO 313 K (0 TO 40 DEG C) THE MAXIMUM ERROR OF COMPENSATOR IS LOWER THAN ABOUT 7 MICROVOLT CORRESPONDING TO ABOUT O. 18 K (0.18 DEG C) AND THE MAXIMUM TOTAL ERROR IS ABOUT 8 MICROVOLT CORRESPONDING TO ABOUT 0.2 K (0.2 DEG C). -DETAILS OF THE OPERATING PRINCIPLE, DESIGN AND CALIBRATION TESTS ARE DESCRIBED AND A SET OF FORMULAE ARE USED TO CALCULATE THE COMPENSATING CURVE.
