A DYNAMIC MODEL OF AIR MOVEMENT IN A BUILDING.

Author(s) : KAZIC N., NOVAK P.

Summary

THE MODEL IS BASED ON STEADY FLOW CHARACTERISTICS OF THE BUILDING ELEMENT AND REPRESENTS AN EXTENSION OF THE KNOWN THEORY OF THE < GLOBAL > MODEL OF STEADY FLOW IN BUILDINGS. IN ORDER TO ANALYZE THE INFLUENCE OF LOW FREQUENCY WIND PULSATIONS ON THE AIR INFILTRATION RATE, A NUMERICAL SIMULATION EXAMPLE HAS BEEN PERFORMED: A SIXTEEN-ROOM BUILDING HAS BEEN EXPOSED TO WIND DISTURBANCE. ASSUMING PERFECT MIXING IN ALL PARTS OF THE BUILDING, THE PRESSURE, MASS AND ENERGY FLOW RATE RESPONSE IN TIME WERE CALCULATED.
