Study on the effect of air flow around high-rise buildings' indoor ventilation systems.

Author(s) : PENG X., GU W., LI H.

Summary

In accordance with the wind pressure coefficient distribution on the high-rise building surface and the aerodynamic characteristics of high-rise buildings, the article analyses the characteristics and range in which the wind pressure varies largely with the velocity profiles and wind direction, and raises associated technical measures to adopt when setting up inlets and outlets of fresh air systems and exhaust systems. The article also derives a method for calculating wind pressure considering the effects of velocity distribution and wind direction.
