Summary

The purpose of this field study is to evaluate the influence of the level of building management on energy consumption in office buildings. A sample of 13 buildings was selected for the field study from the 100 buildings located in Seoul. The field study consisted of two parts. The one is an annual energy consumption survey for 100 office buildings. The other is a questionnaire survey for overall building management. This paper presents the relationship between the level of management and energy consumption in the sample buildings. From the results, important factors influencing the energy consumption are discussed.
