Summary

This article is the Spanish translation of a paper presented at the IIR meeting in Auckland, New Zealand (see the Bulletin of the IIR, reference 2007-0756). This paper introduces a novel heat pump type air-conditioner without a four-way valve. The main components of this air-conditioner are the same as those of a conventional one (i.e. with evaporator, condenser, compressor and expansive valve) except that the four-way valve is replaced with innovative airway structures. The room-air is controlled to pass through the evaporator to be dehumidified and cooled down in the hot days; and the room-air is controlled to pass through the condenser to be heated up in the cold days; or the room-air is controlled to pass through the evaporator to be dehumidified first then driven to the condenser and heater to be heated up in the cold rainy days. Thus this innovation can produce a unique function of dehumidification and heating simultaneously in cold wet days and also improve the shortages of convectional air-conditioner with four-way valve, such improving reliability and efficiency while reducing the number of operational function settings.
