A jet refrigeration system using waste heat discharged by automobile engine cooling.

Author(s) : ZHENG A. P., LIU S. X.

Summary

The article elaborates the principle of the new automobile air-conditioner refrigeration taking the jet refrigeration as foundation and using the waste heat discharged by an automobile engine cooling system, and also the refrigeration installment as well as the refrigerant screening analysis and the thermal design. After a study on feasibility analysis, the authors concluded that the new automobile air conditioner actuated by the low-grade heat energy can reduce the load of the automobile engine enormously, decrease the steam temperature which is discharged by the engine cooling system, reduce the environmental damage, and increase the fuel utilization factor, replace electricity by the heat, and also satisfy the cooling demand.
