Summary

TO MAKE THE CONCEPT OF INTELLIGENCE APPLICABLE TO BUILDINGS, IT IS NECESSARY TO CHANGE THE APPROACH TO BUILDING DESIGN THAT HAS BEEN TAKEN SO FAR. THE AUTHORS HAVE ADOPTED THE EXAMPLE OF A FAMILY HOUSE WITH VARIABLE THERMAL PERFORMANCES IN WHICH SOLAR ENERGYIS USED TO MEET THE BASIC THERMAL REQUIREMENTS AND A ZONE AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEM TO ATTAIN THE DESIRED MICROCLIMATE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. A ZONE-CONTROL DIAGRAM AND A PROGRAM FLOWCHART OF ENERGETICAL FUNCTIONING OF THE BUILDING ARE GIVENIN THE PAPER TO PRESENT A POSSIBLE MODEL OF MICROCOMPUTER-BASED MEASUREMENT, REGULATION AND CONTROL OF THE BUILDING WITH VARIABLE THERMAL PERFORMANCES.
