Author(s) : SCALABRIN G., SCALTRITI G.

Summary

IN THIS PAPER THE AIR-AIR HEAT PUMP SYSTEM AND THE SORPTION SYSTEMS ARE COMPARED WITH THE PROPOSED NEW MIDA PROCESS. THE MIDA RESULTS FROM THE COMBINATION OF AN ABSORPTION DEHUMIDIFICATION WITH A WATER LITHIUM CHLORIDE SOLUTION, ACHIEVED AT CONSTANT OR RISING AIR TEMPERATURE, AND A HEAT PUMP CYCLE. THE COMPARISON WITH THE PRESENT BETTER ENERGY SAVING TECHNOLOGIES FOR DEHUMIDIFICATION VALIDATES THE PROPOSED SYSTEM WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF A SUBSTANTIAL REDUCTION OF OPERATIONAL COSTS.
