Summary

THE PAPER STUDIES THE PROBLEM OF THE < BUILDING-PLANT > COMBINATION IN THE LIGHT OF THE ENERGY SAVINGS THAT CAN BE OBTAINED BY USING CONTROLLED MECHANICAL VENTILATION. A NEW DESIGN OF INTEGRATE SYSTEM IS PRESENTED, IN WHICH PREFABRICATED COMPONENTS (BATHROOMS) INCLUDE PIPINGS AND THE UNITS REQUIRED FOR MECHANICAL VENTILATION, WITH DUAL DUCTS, FOR THE WHOLE BUILDING. THE USE OF CONTROLLED MECHANICAL VENTILATION, COMBINED WITH A ROTARY RECOVERY UNIT AND A HEAT PUMP IN SERIES, REDUCES ENERGY CONSUMPTIONS FOR HEATING BY MORE THAN 50% COMPARED TO THE COSTS OF CONVENTIONAL NATURAL AIR CIRCULATION.
