Summary

The main purpose of the study is to put forward a novel control strategy on controlling indoor CO2 concentration by variable fresh air volume. The performance of the novel strategy is investigated. A dynamic model for ventilation is built up, and simulation based on MATLAB, which the novel control strategy adopted, has been carried out for controlling CO2 concentration by variable fresh air volume. In order to show that the novel control strategy has better performance than conventional PID control, a comparison has also been made between the performance of conventional PID and the novel control strategy.
