BASED ON RESEARCH ON FROST SUSCEPTIBILITY TESTS, A NEW FROST HEAVE PREDICTION MODEL, IS PROPOSED IN THE PAPER. SIX MAIN FACTORS IN FROST HEAVE ARE CONSIDERED: INITIAL WATER CONTENT, INITIAL DRY UNIT WEIGHT, FROST PENETRATION RATE, GROUNDWATER LEVEL, PLASTICITY INDEX AND ION CONTENT.
