A new technique to improve the efficiency of a wet cooling tower.

Author(s) : LIU S., ZHOU Q.

Summary

In the research, a special mix-and-dissolve-air ejector (MDA ejector) devised from the common ejector is installed at the high-temperature inlet of a conventional wet cooling tower for "pretreatment". By indrafting, mixing, and dissolving, much finer water droplets are formed, and then the contact area between the water and the air is also enhanced so the cooling efficiency is improved, this is verified by experimental results.
