Summary

THE AUTHORS PRESENT A NEW TYPE OF REGENERATIVE GAS REFRIGERATOR BY REFERRING TO THEORETICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH WORK. THEY ANALYZE THE PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION AND PRESENT THE THEORETICAL CALCULATION. THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS OF THE PROTOTYPE SHOW THAT, WITHOUT THERMAL INSULATION, THE PRACTICAL COOLING TEMPERATURE IS 233 K (-40 DEG C) AND THE REFR IGERATING CAPACITY IS 23 WATTS (THE ACTIVE GAS IS NITROGEN AT 10 KG/CM2 AND THE ROTATIONAL SPEED IS ABOUT 120 REVOLUTIONS PER MINUTE). THE RESULTS DEMONSTRATE THAT THIS REGENERATIVE REFRIGERATOR IS POSSIBLE BOTH IN THEORY AND PRACTICE.
