Summary

The experimental results and analysis show that the COP of the binary coupling cycle presented here is higher than that of a pure water-zeolite system. The system's operating pressure was found to be near ambient pressure when the proper concentration of ammonia was used. The leakage to the system is reduced, achieving long life and allowing the vessels of the system to be of a lightweight design. The feasibility and reliability of the adsorption heat pump would be greatly improved by the use of the new binary adsorption cycle, providing essential benefits in industrial applications.
