Summary

A new multi-chamber rotary compressor (MCRC) is introduced in this paper. This new compressor is designed to achieve better compactness and energy efficiency. The design and working principle of the new compressor will be presented in this paper. A mathematical model is developed and the theoretical performances of R-134a, R32 and R1234yf are investigated and presented in this paper. Various key parameters including the Coefficient of Performance (COP) of each refrigerant is calculated and analyzed.
