A survey of air flow models for multizone structures.

Type of article: Periodical article

Summary

Refers to a literature review and questionnaire survey performed in 1989, which revealed the existence of 50 multizone air flow models, all developed since 1966, two of which are still under development. All these programs use similar flow equations, but differ to describe the full range of flow phenomena for solving the set of nonlinear equations. Newer models are able to describe and simulate the interrelation of mechanical and natural ventilation. Lists 50 different multizone air flow models in an appendix, plus the authors of the models along with more than 60 papers describing the models in detail.
