Acoustic compressors.
Author(s) : LUCAS T.
Summary
The author explains the design and operation of an acoustic compressor based on the creation of pressure waves in a pipe (resonator). The pipe includes suction and discharge valves allowing the system to convey a refrigerant fluid. The present state of research is described, along with the application possibilities. Three to four years of development are still necessary.
