Summary
IT IS BETTER FROM THE ENERGY SAVING POINT OF VIEW, TO REDUCE NOISE AT ITS SOURCE, AS IN GENERAL, THE MORE EFFICIENT THE FAN, THE LESS NOISE IT MAKES. NEVERTHELESS IT MAY BE PROFITABLE TO INSTALL MUFFLERS INSIDE AIR DUCTS TO ACHIEVE THE BEST RESULT, WITH NOISE REDUCTION. THESE DEVICES GIVE THE BEST PERFORMANCE WHEN USED WITH AXIAL FANS, BUT ARE NOT SO SATISFACTORY WITH CENTRIFUGAL FANS. E. F.
