RADIAL FANS IN AIR-CONDITIONING APPLIANCES. SPECIFICATIONS AND EFFICIENCY CONSIDERED IN LIGHT OF ACTUAL OPERATING CONDITIONS.
[In German. / En allemand.]
Author(s) : SCHARTMANN H.
Type of article: Article
Summary
ANALYSIS OF ACQUISITION AND OPERATING COSTS REVEALS THE IMPORTANCE OF THE FAN AS A SYSTEM COMPONENT. AIR INTAKE AND EXHAUST FUNCTIONS ACOUNT FOR AS MUCH AS 80 % OF THE ENERGY COSTS IN SOME INSTALLATIONS. INCREASING THE OVERALL EFFICIENCY OF FANS WHILE REDUCING PRESSURE REQUIREMENTS THROUGH INNOVATIONS IN CONSTRUCTION IS A DESIRABLE GOAL. THE OPERATING PARAMETERS OF VARIOUS FANS IN AIR-CONDITIONING UNITS, AND CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES FOR REDUCING ENERGY REQUIREMENTS, ARE DESCRIBED.
