Summary

The sales of domestic refrigerators in India is increasing by about 12% per annum and is expected to outperform USA early in the next century. Production at present is based on CFC designs. The scope for CFC-free and energy efficient development is enormous. It is suggested the Indian government perhaps with US cooperation could support domestic manufacturers. D.W.H.
