ADVANCEMENTS IN SCREW COMPRESSOR OIL COOLING SYSTEMS: ANALYZED AND COMPARED.

Summary

THE AUTHORS SUMMARISE THE ROLES PLAYED BY OIL CIRCULATION IN SCREW COMPRESSORS. THEY EXPLAIN HOW COOLING DIFFERENTIATES SCREW COMPRESSORS FROM OTHER TYPES OF COMPRESSORS. THEY REPORT THE DIFFERENT OIL COOLING PROCESSES, ON ONE HAND, BY HEAT EXCHANGE WITH AN EXTERNAL FLUID AND, ON THE OTHER HAND, BY REFRIGERANT INJECTION. BECAUSE OF THE PRESENT INTEREST FOR ENERGY SAVING, THE STUDY COMPARES THE DIFFERENT SYSTEMS FROM THIS STANDPOINT.
