EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF THE INFLUENCE OF OIL INJECTION UPON THE SCREW COMPRESSOR WORKING PROCESS.

Author(s) : STOSIC N.

Summary

PRESENTED ARE SOME RESULTS OF EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION (COMPLEMENTED BY COMPUTER MODELLING) OF THE INFLUENCE OF OIL INJECTION UPON SCREW COMPRESSOR WORKING PROCESS. SEVERAL PARAMETERS THAT CHARACTERIZE THE OIL INJECTION WERE VARIED OVER RANGES THAT WERE PRELIMINARY DETERMINED ON THE BASIS OF THE COMPUTATION MODEL. THE COMPRESSOR PERFORMANCES WERE EVALUATED ON THE BASIS OF MEASUREMENTS OF ALL IMPORTANT BULK PARAMETERS. IN ADDITION, THE COLLECTED DATA SERVED TO VERIFY THE EARLIER MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF THE OIL INFLUENCE UPON THE SCREW COMPRESSOR WORKING PROCESS. THE OBTAINED EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS AND THE APPLICATION OF THE COMPUTER SIMULATION HELPED IN MODIFYING THE OILINJECTION SYSTEM WHICH RESULTED IN SAVING OF COMPRESSOR ENERGY CONSUMPTION UP TO 7%.
