Summary

A DANISH COMPANY HAS DEVELOPED A SERIES OF MICROPROCESSOR UNITS, EACH HAVING CONTROL CAPABILITY OVER ONE SPECIFIC TYPE OF REFRIGERATION APPARATUS, EG ONE FOR A COMPRESSOR, ANOTHER FOR A CONDENSER, ETC. USING THESE LINKED TO A CENTRAL PC ENABLES TOTAL SYSTEM CONTROL TO BE CARRIED OUT WITHOUT THE PRODUCTION OF CUSTOM BUILT SOFTWARE AS WOULD BE NECESSARY FOR TH PLC/PLS BASED SYSTEM. INSTEAD, THE SYSTEM DESIGNER CAN SELECT FROM STANDARD UNITS TO SUIT THE APPLICATION. IT IS ALSO SUGGESTED THAT THE GREATEST ECONOMY CAN BE EFFECTED WHEN ELECTRONIC EXPANSION VALVES ARE USED, AS EVAPORATOR PRESSURES CAN BE RAISED WHEN PART LOAD IS REQUIRED. D.W.H.
