Summary

A NEW EXPANSION DEVICE IS DESCRIBED, DEVELOPED BY CARRIER. A MICROPROCESSOR FED BY THE ACTUAL TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EVAPORATION AND THE SUPERHEATED VAPOUR AT THE END OF THE EVAPORATOR CONTROLS A LINEAR STEP-MOTOR OF AN EXPANSION V THIS DEVICE WORKS STABLY WITH LOW SUPERHEATING AND WITH RELATIVELY LOW PRESSURE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE CONDENSER AND EVAPORATOR. THIS MEANS THAT LOW TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCES OVER THE EVAPORATOR CAN BE APPLIED AND THAT LOW CONDENSATION TEMPERATURES IN WINTER TIME CANBE UTILIZED.
