AIR-AIR + WATER GLASSHOUSE HEAT PUMP SYSTEM USING CROP TRANSPIRATION AS A MAIN HEAT SOURCE.

SYSTEME DE POMPE A CHALEUR AIR-AIR + EAU UTILISANT LA TRANSPIRATION DES PLANTES POUR LE CHAUFFAGE DES SERRES.

Author(s) : CALLE D. G.

Summary

THE DESCRIBED CONCEPT PERMITS, WHEN SUFFICIENT HUMIDITY IS AVAILABLE DUE TO THE PLANT TRANSPIRATION, TO RECYCLE THE LATENT ENERGY IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE THE FOLLOWING BENEFITS BY AIR DEHUMIDIFYING: REDUCE THE NEED FOR VENTING OFF ; MAINTAIN OPTIMAL LIGHT TRANSMISSIONS ; IMPROVE PLANT GROWTH AND CROP YIELD ; MINIMIZE DISEASES. WHEN THE INSIDE AIR RELATIVE HUMIDITY IS AT SELECTED LEVEL, THE SYSTEM USES OUTSIDE AIR AS A HEAT SOURCE. HEATING CAN BE ACHIEVED PARTIALLY BY LOW TEMPERATURE SOIL HEATING ADDITIONALLY TO THE AMBIENT AIR REHEAT.
