Summary
The Shanghai International Convention Centre is a multi-purpose building with meeting rooms, guest rooms, restaurant, etc. The authors present the air-conditioning design for the conference hall, showing the hall and the atrium. They give calculation methods for the spherical glass structures. Water cooling chillers and oil/gas-fired steam boilers were chosen as a function of the building and local energy conditions. The project has been operating well since.
