Summary
Fine tolerance metal machining requires 24-hour close control of the air temperature and humidity. A special requirement was to avoid stratification throughout the 3 metre height of the machines. Large volumes of ducted air were used, with low-level extract. Air handlers were duplicated for system security. A.R.T.
