Air conditioning system with integrated cold storage for domestic use.

Number: 2024

Author(s) : EGOROVA A. I., KOLESNIKOV A. S., KROTOV A.

Summary

Traditional cooling technologies with cold accumulators are suitable only for large systems with an intermediate refrigerant circuit. However, low-capacity air conditioning systems (home air-conditioning) have good potential for improving efficiency by accumulating cold and for increasing safety by reducing the amount of refrigerant. A system with a cold accumulator built into the vapor-compression refrigerator cycle and partial refrigerant circulation is presented. A theoretical analysis of the effectiveness based on mathematical modeling, taking into account the features of real systems was carried out. A study of scenarios for the accumulation and use of cold was conducted.
