Summary
The Japanese government which has firmed up its policy of limiting the CO2 emission in the private sector in 2010 to the 1990 level demands that offices be air conditioned so that the office temperature is not lower than 28 deg C when cooled and not higher than 20 deg C when warmed. Newly built advanced facilities are adopting air conditioning systems designed to reduce environment loads, activities are being developed to reduce energy consumption even at existing facilities.
