Summary

RECENT STUDIES ON THERMAL COMFORT AND ON POLLUTANT DIFFUSION IN CLOSED ROOMS HAVE LED TO THE CONSIDERATION OF THESE ROOMS AS A SPACE WHERE TEMPERATURE, HUMIDITY AND CONCENTRATION OF POLLUTANTS HAVE NOT THE SAME IMPORTANCE. THE AUTHORS HAVE PROPOSED NEW QUALITY INDEXES: THE EFFECTIVE TEMPERATURE OF DRAUGHTS CAUSED BY AIR MOVEMENT, THE PERFORMANCE OF AIR DIFFUSION, AIR SPEEDS OF 50 AND 84%, THE RISK OF DRAUGHT, THE EFFICIENCY IN ELIMINATING A POLLUTANT, THE EFFICIENCY OF AIR CHANGE. THEY PROPOSE TWO < IDEAL > MODELS OF AIR MOVEMENT AND TWO < REAL > MODELS OF AIR MOVEMENT IN CLOSED ROOMS.
