Summary

A modelling approach aimed to show the relation between all the pollutants and the indoor environment quality in a building is given. A generalized statement of particle concentration is established by calculation, and then for an equilibrium situation. Different cases are developed and illustrated by examples: main indoor pollution, dominating outside pollution, indoor and outside pollution, contamination sources distributed amongst several zones. In conclusion, the fundamental features of good solutions concerning indoor air quality are found. J.L.
