THE AUTHOR PRESENTS ARGUMENTS FOR VENTILATION WHICH DIRECT AIR UPWARD FROM THE FLOOR. UNLIKE MIXED VENTILATION, IT MAKES POSSIBLE A DIVERGENCE BETWEEN THE LOWER AREAS OF A ROOM AND THE UPPER AREAS FROM 290 TO 301 K (17 TO 28 DEG C). HE USES AN EXAMPLE TO SHOW HOW TO SIZE AN INSTALLATION BY DETERMINING THE DIFFERENT TEMPERATURES SOUGHT IN THE ROOM AND THE FLOW VOLUME OF THE DELIVERY AIR. M. C.
