Air flow experiments in full scale test rooms.

Author(s) : FITZNER K. F.

Type of article: Article, IJR article

Summary

Airflow inside air-conditioned rooms is complex, making calculation of the flow pattern or the air velocities difficult. Therefore, experiments in test rooms are necessary. A test room must be representative of the original room dimensions, in so far as the air outlets and the airflow are concerned. The experiments were carried out under thermal steady-state conditions. Interesting results in the following areas were obtained: comfort conditions; optimum flow conditions in relation to local velocity; gas concentration measurements and gas distributions.
