THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN TO INVESTIGATE THE FEASIBILITY OF A BIVALENT DOMESTIC HEATING SYSTEM, BASED ON AN AIR/WATER HEAT PUMP, A SMALL OIL-FIRED BOILER AND HOT WATER STORAGE, AND TO DEVELOP A SUITABLE SYSTEM DESIGN AND PREPARE AN ECONOMIC ANALYSIS OF THE SYSTEM. THE REPORT STARTS WITH AN INTRODUCTORY ANALYSIS THAT DEFINES THE MAIN PROBLEMS THAT MUST BE SOLVED FOR A BIVALENT SYSTEM. THE ECONOMIC ANALYSIS INDICATES THAT THIS HEAT PUMP SYSTEM IS THE MOST FAVOURABLE ALTERNATIVE, SEEN BOTH FROM A PRIVATE ECONOMIC AND NATIONAL ECONOMIC VIEWPOINT. (SYNOP. SWED. BUILD.
