REVIEW PAPER ON AIR SEPARATION PLANTS PRODUCTION AND USE OF OXYGEN IN METAL PREPARATION AND FABRICATION INDUSTRY. THE MAIN CLASSICAL CYCLES USED FOR AIR SEPARATION ARE MENTIONED. BY-PRODUCT NITROGEN AND ARGON ENABLE NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN METALLURGICAL AND ALLIED INDUSTRIES. APPLICATIONS OF CRYOGENIC GASES (ARGON, NITROGEN, OXYGEN) IN INDUSTRY ARE LISTED. AS A CONCLUSION, INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT IN INDIA IS DETAILED: THE STAGE WHERE THE INFRASTRUCTURE EXISTS FOR THE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT IN ALMOST EVERY FIELD IS REACHED AND IT IS NOW NECESSARY TO MAKE DEFINITE PLANS SO AS TO LET CRYOGENIC INDUSTRY PLAYS ITS ROLE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE COUNTRY.
