THE INTERDEPENDENCE BETWEEN THE COOLING AND DISTILLATION CYCLES OF AN AIR SEPARATION UNIT IS SOMETIMES A VERY CLOSE ONE. THE FOLLOWING REPORT DEALS WITH THIS PROBLEM FROM A PROCESS STANDPOINT, AND INCLUDES AN EXAMINATION OF THE COMPARATIVE PERFORMANCES OF THE MOST FREQUENTLY-EMPLOYED CYCLES, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE VOLUME OF LIQUID PRODUCTION REQUIRED OF THE UNIT.
