Air-solar or solar-assisted heat pumps: heating, hot water.

L'aérosolaire ou la pompe à chaleur assistée solaire : chauffage, eau chaude.

Author(s) : BERNIER J.

Type of monograph: Book

Summary

This new book is about a little-known technology: air-solar sensing. it consists in using the sun and the outdoor air as a source of cold energy for a heat-pump evaporator, thanks to cold sensors, without a glass pane. It is an atmospheric sensor allowing for the recovery of solar heat, external-air latent and sensible heat, the effect of the wind, the rain and the fog. The aim of air-solar is to optimize the recovery of heat while avoiding frosting problems related to winter external-air sensing operations. Several technologies are discussed in this book (heat pumps with direct expansion evaporator sensors, heat pumps with elastomer glycol-water sensors, energy-producing fence equipped heat pumps, air-solar convectors), and their applications (heating and domestic hot water) and their installation mode.
