Summary
The National Centre for Cold-chain Development (NCCD) in India has published an assessment of India’s cold chain infrastructure. The report highlights cold chain infrastructure requirements and what infrastructure has been created to identify gaps in the infrastructure in India. According to the report, India needs an additional 3.28 million metric tons of cold storage and 52,826 reefer vehicles to meet demand. The report was prepared for and along with the National Centre for Cold-chain Development, by NABARD Consultancy Services Private Limited (NABCONS).
