Summary
The paper concerns the investigation of the alternative air-conditioning systems on the basis of the open absorption cycle with the use of solar energy as a heat source. Schematic solutions of systems has been carried. The design analysis of working characteristics was performed for a wide range of initial parameters (temperature and humidity of ambient air, the type and concentration of liquid sorbents, etc.) and construction features of heat and mass transfer equipment.
